    Our award-winning Sunday Champagne Brunch is a Maui favorite, beloved by visitors and kamaʻāina (residents) alike.

    Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel’s legendary brunch takes place at the Tiki Terrace restaurant, were you will find a choice of indoor and open-air seating. Sip on champagne and choose from a wide range of brunch items, including breads and pastries, tropical fruit, waffles, crab legs, sushi and Hawaiian specialties, such as poke, poi and kālua pig—not to mention omelet and carving stations and our decadent dessert table!

  • ʻOhe Hano Ihu (Bamboo Nose Flute)

    The ʻOhe Hano Ihu was once used to woo a lover or communicate messages between lovers. Hawaiian culture dictates that true feelings are conveyed through the Hano because the breath from the nose is considered to be pure whereas the breath from the mouth can expel untruths. Guests will learn how to make their very own nose flute and even play a few notes.

  • ʻUpena Kīloi (Throw Net)

    Fishing is a favorite sport in Hawaiʻi and ʻupena kīloi is something that Hawaiians would only learn growing up in the islands. In this fun activity, guests can learn how to cast an actual hand held net and even catch a fish if they’re lucky!

  • Kaula (Cordage)

    In modern times, we have nails, screws and different glues to build and bind materials. One of the many customary practices that was both continued and adapted in the Hawaiian Islands was the making of kaula (cordage), a foundational part of many of the tools and operations of daily life used for a variety of practices including food gathering and recreational activities. In this complimentary activity, guests will make their own kukui nut lei pendant using kaula as the necklace.

  • Pū ‘ohe (Bamboo Trumpet)

    The pū is used as a form of communication. In old days, the sound of the pū could be heard for miles around and was used to announce an event that was about to happen. Students will have a chance to make their own bamboo trumpet from sanding the rough bamboo to finishing it using the kukui nut oil. Then they can take their new creation home with them.

  • ʻOhe Kāpala (Bamboo printing)

    Hawaiians made cloth, called kapa, from the bark of different plants, with the finest kapa coming from the wauke plant. Kapa was then decorated with drawings and designs using ʻohe kāpala, an ancient method of bamboo printing.

    In this activity, guests will learn how to make their own unique creation utilizing natural dyes from the ground just like the Hawaiians used to do centuries ago.

  • Legends of Kāʻanapali Lūʻau

    Join us every Monday night in our Tiki Courtyard for the Legends of Kāʻanapali Lūʻau! You will be treated to tropical cocktails and a delicious and plentiful lūʻau feast, plus a live hula show that will take you on a journey throughout the history of Kāʻanapali through incredible song and dance.

    With narration by Lei Pono Productions, the performances begin with the call of the (conch shell), and culminate in the daring fire walk! Join us for a Hawaiian show that the entire family will love!
