Frequently Asked Questions
Transportation
Can I fly to Maui directly?
Yes, many American carriers fly directly to Maui from US Mainland
gateways including Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles & San Francisco
on a daily basis. Depending on the season, several carriers offer
flights from other major cities. The airport is located in Kahului
(airport code OGG) and is approximately 25 miles (a scenic 45-minute drive)
from the hotel. Click here to search for discounted air tickets to Maui.
Do I need to rent a car on Maui?
There is no public transportation on Maui, and many visitors
find car rentals to be the most convenient option. For those that
may prefer not to rent a car, airport shuttle service can be arranged (see FAQ below),
and complimentary shuttle transportation is available within the
resort making stops at the golf course pro shop, the Sugar Cane
Train depot, all hotels located in the Kaanapali Resort, and the
Whaler’s Village Shopping Center. Paid shuttle service is
available to Lahaina, Kapalua, Kihei, and Wailea areas at reasonable
costs. Taxis are available from our lobby entrance. Click here to search for discounted rental car on Maui (many vacation packages on this site will already include rental car; see each individual package's details). Also, visit our Maui Web Links section for more online resources.
Is there a shuttle service to and from the hotel?
Yes. From Kahului airport, we recommend SpeediShuttle. Visit their website at www.speedishuttle.com for more information.
