In 1995, our Employee Council, another outgrowth of Project
Pookela, produced its first CD called Na Halia Aloha -
Cherished Memories, which features the songs and music of
the hotel's employees.
The Council has since released its second employee recording,
E Hoomau I Ka Pookela - Continue in Excellence, which showcases
individuals and various departments. The new CD has been honored
with the National Cultural Heritage Award by the Travel Industry
of America. A perennial favorite souvenir and gift, proceeds from
the sale of the music CD help fund employee activities throughout
the year.
Below, we feature Hawaiian and English songs from both releases. Feel
