We just wanted to thank you all at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. My wife and I just returned 8/24 from a wonderful week in Maui. Thanks to the Staff, rooms, location and the Mixed Plate it was everything we'd hoped it would be for our Anniversary. The room we had was great, it was newly renovated and was very comfortable. The staff was great every night providing us with great macadamia nut coconut cookies, chocolates and beautiful orchids on our pillows, it was all perfect. We will be back again, but with more family members next time.

Kari (Oakland, CA)
Thanks again for another wonderful visit to your hotel. It has been two years since our last visit and it seemed like your staff remembered us from before. Your staff, especially Mikala and Alan, would say good morning to our girls by their first names each time we saw them. We enjoyed Smiles and Uncle Ernie, but missed Rudy on this visit and we saw George in the Tiki Terrace again. It feels wonderfully familiar to stay at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel and see the same faces each time, almost like family that you see every so often. The staff, as always, was friendly and gracious, and probably the main reason why we keep coming back.

p.s. It looks like the room renovations will be money well spent. The new rooms look beautiful. We can’t wait until our next visit.

Jacquie (Eureka, CA)
This was my 3rd trip to Kaanapali Beach Hotel and it's always a joy! We had 7 people in our party, a few first timers and three 2nd timers. Everyone had an incredible time. The staff at Kaanapali Beach Hotel always makes us feel a part of the Ohana!

Maui & Kaanapali Beach Hotel is a very special place to us since this is the last place my mother was truly happy before cancer took her life. It brings us closer together and makes us appreciate life and what we get to enjoy on a daily basis.

Mike White is very generous and he made our stay there seem as if we were so important! Malihini and Dale are a few of our favorties. I've missed Rudy 2 years running because he's on vacation when I've been back. He's an incredible entertainer.

Tom (Overland Park, KS)
My wife Sherry and I spent a few days at your hotel on Sept 4th and 5th. We came from Oahu where we stayed at the Hilton and after we stayed at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel we went down the beach and stayed 3 days at the Hyatt. The Hilton and Hyatt were certainly very nice modern hotels but we felt like we got lost in the shuffle at those 2 hotel giants and we felt like we really did not relax much. Since this was our first trip to Hawaii we wanted to try several hotels to see what we liked best. That was pretty much solved after our stay at Kaanapali Beach Hotel. The courtyard area was very quiet and relaxing. My wife could relax and read a book in the courtyard and I could walk a few hundred yards down the beach to enjoy some terrific snorkeling not to mention a fantastic beach right at the hotel. However, the staff is what really separates this hotel from the rest. It is clear people enjoy working there and we certainly enjoyed the hospitality we received in our very short stay. We would have cancelled our stay at the Hyatt if it had not been part of a package deal and spent the rest of the week at Kaanapali Beach Hotel but we know now. The little Aloha gathering when we checked out was very nice and we will be back to collect some light colored nuts for our leis in the future as this will be our only stop on Maui.

Scott and Vicki (Urbana, IN)
My wife and I recently stayed at Kaanapali for our 2nd time. Our travel agent had started to book us somewhere else and we refused! The Kaanapali Beach Hotel is the only place we'll stay. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and the area attractions are second to none. Anything and everything you want to do is right out of your doorstep! Thanks again for another wonderful vacation! We WILL be back!

Ailie & Shaun (Tampa, FL)
Aloha, What a truly memorable experience that will last a lifetime! Every moment of our stay at Ka'anapali Beach Hotel was fantastic. We were pleased with our room and the tropical garden that allowed you to have space to spread out on a lawn chair - no other local hotel offered this feature. The hotel is located on absolutely the best part of Ka'anapali Beach if not all of Maui: wide stretches of soft-golden sand, black rock with terrific snorkeling opportunities and the nightly tiki torch lighting ceremony. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast orientation which was valuable to learn more about the hotel and staff in an entertaining fashion. The nightly shows were a feature we could not live without especially since the other hotels do not offer such Hawaiian-style performances: nice music, talented hula dancers, and funny jokes. Matter of fact, guests from other hotels ended up at KBH! We loved the breakfasts and dinners that were served at The Mixed Plate. It was such a great variety every day at a reasonable price, we did not think of going to dinner at any other place. We generally like to explore and try different local restaurants during our travels, but this is the first for us to stick to The Mixed Plate every evening. The most rewarding part about staying at KBH was interacting with the friendly staff while participating in many of the daily cultural activities. Mahilini and Mikala made it so interesting to learn about the different native arts!

ALWAYS keep the cultural garden walk on the agenda along with all the other wonderful classes that are great for all ages to gain more knowledge about the Hawaiian culture! It was hard to say good-bye, but it was a lovely gesture by having the kukui lei ceremony before our departure. We will return (with our kukui lei) and recommend this hotel to others. Mahalo!

John and Melissa (Lewisburg, PA)
My wife and I just returned from nine wonderful nights at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. This was her 4th visit and my 12th to KBH. I have been coming here since 1982. No other hotel on Maui can compare. The Hawaiian hospitality, the beautiful rooms and gardens, and the wondrous beach will keep us coming back here whenever we visit Maui. We spent our honeymoon here in 1989, brought our children here in 1998, and keep returning for a rest from the world. The hotel and staff only get better with each visit. When you start your morning picking up newly fallen plumeria, and swimming at Black Rock with tropical fish and sea turtles, how can your day be anything but magical. It is always with sadness when our last day arrives, but we always know we will return. Thank you so much for another beautiful Hawaiian vacation!

Dave & Mari (Central California, CA)
What a wonderful stay. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. The kids spent most of their time in the beautiful pool and we could see it from our room. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the great staff there. The location is spectacular and we will be booking there as soon as we can, a real vacation!

Charles and Eileen (San Diego, CA)
We stayed at KBH for the first time last year. The warmness of the hotel staff was amazing. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We loved the welcome greeting and having little favors on our beds everyday. The Tiki bar and grill was awesome. Everyone was friendly and the drinks were awesome. We are going again next year and bringing more family with us. We love the calm atmosphere and know our families will have the best time ever! Till we meet again, Aloha!

Melinda (Morro Bay, CA)
Aloha from California. Fourteen of our family members enjoyed a wonderful 7 nights at KBH from 10/4 thru 10/11. Our rooms were lovely with delightful views of the pool and ocean. The cleanliness of our rooms, the grounds and various facilities were most pleasant. We enjoyed fantastic dining and especially the incredible Sunday champaign brunch. The staff were ALL warm, friendly, caring and sincere. The annual Hawaiian Cultural festival, was a surprise and a real bonus. I still get misty eyed thinking about the farewell song and lei at our departure. So meaningful and sincere. Upon arriving back home, everyone just wanted to jump back on a plane and rejoin our new family again at KBH. We sincerely hope and pray, the earthquake did you no harm.

Tim and Karen (McHenry, IL)
Aloha! My husband and I spent 12 wonderful days at KBH and were truly saddened to leave on 10-12-06. (We hope all is well after the earthquake!) This was the fifth time at our "home away from home". As always the grounds, buildings, and rooms were clean and welcoming. I must mention and thank Vergie from housekeeping for always smiling even when we kept running in and out of the room for sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. The Tiki Terrace is the best restaurant in Maui. The seared Ahi with garlic mashed potatoes is the stuff dreams are made of! The entire staff seems so comfortable and happy with their jobs. We have observed other hotels and resorts and marvel at your aloha spirit. While lounging and decompressing from our mainland jobs, we've noticed guests from neighboring hotels looking longingly at the whale pool and giant checker board. We are already planning our next trip.

Sally and Shane (North Queensland, Australia)
My husband, myself and two of our friends have just returned from KBH after celebrating our 10th wedding anniversaries. The friendly and helpful staff helped to make our stay that much more enjoyable. We enjoyed the lei making, hula lessons (they were a laugh and at the same time a real history lesson in themselves), the nightly entertainment and of course those cocktails. Anyone planning to go, don't wait. This is a relaxed style resort that offers beautiful beaches at your front door. And if you enjoy snorkeling, a magnificent area is right out the front of the resort. We would love to return one day with our children as they would really enjoy the children friendly activities. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

John & Marie (Westminster, CO)
We left Maui and your wonderful hotel just 10 hours before the earthquake hit. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of the wonderful people of the island. We stayed with you for one week and had such a lovely time. It was our first visit to Maui and will not be our last! Your staff, the smiles and the warm Aloha we received will always be remembered as we treasure our memories and all our pictures. We love our candlenut lei and look forward to getting that first white nut...maybe next year. Aloha and God bless!

Susan (Winnetka, CA)
Aloha All! I just wanted to let everyone know how much I enjoyed staying at the KBH last week. From start to finish, everything was wonderful. The location was perfect - right on the beach and a short walk to a very nice shopping and dining area. The grounds are gorgeous and very well kept. We could see the ocean from our room. The room was great too, spacious with a sitting area and a large lanai. The welcome breakfast was great with the helpful tips and entertainment. We were lucky enough to be there for the Aloha Festival and got to participate in that. We also enjoyed the nightly shows while dining outside. We had fun taking craft classes and getting to know other guests and staff. Everyone was very friendly and warm. We loved the little touches - cookies and flowers on the beds at night, and the notes that were left. They really do make you feel like you are part of the ohana. The KBH is a truly wonderful place to stay and very hard to leave. It was hard not to cry during the goodbye ceremony. I chose to stay here based on what I had heard and read about it, and I hope others will do the same after reading this - you will be very glad you did! Many many thanks for making this vacation special!

Peter and Margaret (Syosset, NY)
My husband and I have just returned from our fifth vacation at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. It continues to be the friendliest hotel in Kaanapali. During the day the crafts and activities as well as all the information provided by the guest services desk, especially Malihini, is wonderful. In the evenings we always enjoy the music and dancing in the courtyard. Rudy Aquino is an outstanding musician and performer, and always pleases his audience. We know once you stay at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel it will become your home away from home on future trips to Maui.

Lucy and Gabriel (Montebello, CA)
We just came 2 weeks ago and I can't wait to go back! We were in Maui for 10 days and that was not enough time. Your hotel and staff were "GREAT". The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I was impressed with one employee in particular "Mikala Nolan" from Guest Services, he remembered both our names and that really made me feel at home!

Pete and Pat (Prospect Park, PA)
I can't stop telling our family and friends how much we enjoy our stays at your wonderful hotel.

Pam and Richard (Huntington Beach, CA)
We had the pleasure of staying at your hotel the first week of October and had a fantastic time. This was my second visit to Maui and my wife’s first. Your staff provided much kokua and tons of Aloha spirit. We were lucky enough to be there for the Makahiki Festival your hotel sponsors and had the priviledge of witnessing the Royal Court enter the lobby as the event began. My wife even threw the spears and I attempted to correctly throw a fishing net.Your hotel truly provides a Hawaiian experience. We will continue to recommend your hotel to all my friends.

Ken, Angie and Ashley (Phoenix, AZ)
It’s been almost a year since we were there at KBH and we can't wait to go back. June 2003 was our first trip, Angie and I were there to get married at the Old Lahaina Luau, we were only able to stay 4 nights. 2 1/2 years later in Nov of 2005 we brought our 11 month old daughter back to KBH and stayed for 11 nights!!, Now we are planning our third trip to KBH sometime in 2007, this time we are staying for 2 weeks. Our daughter will be 3 years old, we want her to learn about Hawaii and Hawaiian culture and KBH is a great place to start!! Your staff are very helpful and such nice people, the concierge helped us plan trips that were child freindly and even recommended "Baby Beach" in Lahaina where we could enjoy swimming and snorkeling in very calm waters. KBH is our home in Hawaii and we will return as often as we possibly can. We just wanted to say thank you for making our trip so memorable, here it is a year later and the experience is still very fresh in memories! That’s what vacations are supposed to do!

Richard and Ruth Ann (Plymouth, MI)
We've sent in our comment card but would truly love a gift in the mail. We LOVE everything about the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. This is not meant has criticism, but think that the signs on the balconies need to be updated as they are illegible and too many guests are letting their towels dry on the railings. KBH is above that. WE LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL HOTEL DON'T CHANGE.

Harold (New York, NY)
My wife and I stayed at the KBH on our honeymoon from Oct. 10-Oct. 14. I just wanted to thank you for all your help, especially during the earthquake when you set up the breakfast buffet, which was very helpful in what could have been a very stressful time, and for bumping us up to a better room to commemorate our special occasion. We really enjoyed our stay, the beach and the property was beautiful, and the ukelele lesson and lei ceremony were both very memorable. We stayed at two of the higher-priced grand resorts during the rest of our vacation, but your hotel was my favorite.

Art and Debbie (Decatur, AL)
We were guests at KBH 3 months ago and we still talk almost daily about our wonderful vacation and how special your hotel was. We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. When we were making our plans we talked about our "once in a lifetime" trip to Hawaii. Now all we can talk about is when we are going back. Your kindness is one of the reasons we will return - you made us feel special. The going away ceremony touched my heart – you really did make us feel that we were a part of your family. Thank you for your kindness.

Chuck and Karen (Riverbank, CA)
Thank You [mahalo] for making our trip a most memorable one.The entire staff was friendly and courteous. A special thanks to Gilda our room attendent, she took very good care of us and to George from valet parking for helping with removing the Jeep top to his insights of the island, which helped with our sight-seeing. We especially enjoyed Rudy Aquino. He was very entertaining. We made sure to catch his shows on the nights he played with his band, they were awesome. Your restaurants were first class and we enjoyed our morning buffet everyday, but also had two delicious dinners. We will return to your wonderful resort one day.

Susan (Rushcutters Bay, Australia)
My husband and I just got back from another fabulous trip to Maui. This is our 10th year in a row to stay at the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. We call it our second home and always feel welcome when we return. We love the grounds at the hotel. I like sun and my husband likes shade and there is plenty of both for us. He has his favorite plumaria tree which he sits under each time. We have visited at different times of the year and have always had a wonderful experience. The hotel is situated in the BEST position of the beach. It's great for snorkeling or just floating. The rooms are very nice with extremely comfortable beds. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast in the Tiki Restaurant is fantastic, especially the made to order omelettes. We love everything about the Hotel and always feel very sad when it's time to leave, but know that we'll return. Mahalo!

Anne (Vista, CA)
Aloha my Maui Ohana! I miss you all so much. I will be back in a couple months. I had a great time as always. Thank you for opening the stage for me to share my hula and tahitian dancing.

Tom and Kathy (Valparaiso, IN)
We couldn't of found a better place in the world to spend our 30th anniversary than in Maui at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. It was the first time we have been to Maui and found it just brimming everywhere with beauty and charm. The hotel staff and service were outstanding and the entertainment was phenomenal! We could listen to Rudy and company and watch the hula every night! Tom is practicing his ukulele skills and hopes to come back and "jam" with the band real soon.

Lisa (Bloomfield, MI)
My friend and I stayed at KBH the second week of November and had a great time. We called it "base camp" and had fun each day. We met Malihini our first day when we took hula lessons and she was great - a wonderful resource and always willing to provide helpful tips. Starting breakfast off in the Mixed Plate each day was a great start and we are missing those potatoes! Our room was great and not only looked out to the ocean but also was in a great spot to sit on the lanai and listen to Uncle Rudy every night. We explored a lot of the island and felt like we were in the best location, and a great hotel. Most importantly, it was nice to stay in a family-run hotel with personality and care about the Hawaiian culture vs. the "corporate" hotels that we were surrounded by! We look forward to coming back and also to recommending KBH as well.

Barb and Dave (Hutchinson, MN)
We had a great time staying with you in October! Everyone was so nice, friendly and great upbeat personalities, we even made friends with other guests. I wish our time could have been longer. It was a beautiful trip, I thank you all and I hope not too many years pass before we visit again! (I cried when it was time to go and Alan gave us his goodbye) I so recommend this hotel and island to everyone. It was a dream!

Mark and Becky (Menomonie, WI)
We have been so fortunate to return to Kaanapali Beach Hotel for our 3rd vacation. We feel we were the lucky ones to have picked this spot our 1st time on beautiful Maui. Words can not completely express the warmth we feel from the minute we arrive to the day we part. We can leave all our worries behind and relax because of the friendly, caring ways of the staff. You see it is not only the wonderful accommodations that make us want to return, it is so much more the people that care for us when we arrive. We carry their spirit in our hearts until we meet again.

Denis and Roberta (Pittsburgh, Pa)
We just returned from a wonderful vacation at the Kaanapali Beach Resort. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We loved everything about the resort. The Hawaiian music in the courtyard, the plush vegetation around the hotel, the closeness of the beach. All the little touches that make this place the most Hawaiian resort in Hawaii. We can't wait to return. We were really touched by the ceremony at the end of our stay with the Kukui Leis. Aloha, until we return.

John, Monica, Brittany and Olivia (Belle Vernon, PA)
Your hotel stands out like a shining star among the glitz and glitter of the big name establishments at Kaanapali Beach. Our stay from November 8th to November 13th was wonderful. Your staff made our family part of your family. A special thank-you to Malihini who made sure our daughters were able fill out their passports in full even though she was pulled in many different ways by the hula competition that was taking place during our stay. We arrived in Maui after a stay of 5 days at Waikiki and a routine checkout. We left your hotel with tears in our eyes after your farewell lei ceremony. Can't wait to return.

Colleen (San Diego, CA)
My parent’s and I stayed in room 138 over the Thanksgiving Day holiday. We had such a great time! The room was perfect with a view of the gardens and the Tiki bar was only steps away with the daily drink specials…it was heaven. We have already booked our rooms for next Thanksgiving…can’t wait to toast with you again!

Scott and Shelly (New Albany IN)
This was our 2nd visit to KBH. We were there in Jan 2006 for our 20th anniversary and my 40th birthday. Our first visit was for our 10 year anniversary. This is the best hotel! It is so friendly, it was nice to have fresh flowers every night on our pillows and they had champagne for us. I thought the best thing was the day we checked out. The ceremony they do with the Kukui nut leis were awesome. They did not do this on our first visit but we will definitly be back and we decided not to wait ten years again. Maui is the most beautiful place I have ever been. The hospitality that this hotel shows does not compare to any other places I have ever been. Janurary is the best time to go. It’s not too crowded and the weather is perfect. KBH keep up the great work and we will see you again in a few years.

Johnnie and Win (Olive Branch, MS)
My husband and I and 22 other Memphis Tiger fans returned November 24th from a 5 night stay at the KBH. We were there mainly to cheer our basketball team in the Maui Classic but also to enjoy the beauty and Aloha spirit of Maui and the KBH. I am a travel agent and have placed a broad range of clients from honeymooners to seniors at this hotel in the past few years with absolutely no complaints. Our group was very satisfied with the hotel, the location and the service we received. Our team will return to Maui in 2010. I've already received requests from several in our group to be put on the list to return to this hotel in 2010, if not before!!

Esther and Dante (Gilbert, AZ)
My husband and I have come to the Kaanapali Beach Hotel for the last 12 years. We enjoy everything it has to offer. The staff are wonderful people, always smiling and very helpful in many ways. The food is excellent, we go every Thanksgiving and enjoy the food they share and the entertainment is totally awesome. Rudy and his group know how to bring smiles to everyone no matter what age. Guest services agent, Malihini is a wonderful part of your Ohana. She is cheerful and really can tell you all you need or want to know about your hotel. Plus she really is a good hula lady! Esther, your reservation desk person is very helpful in all our needs, plus she always remembers us when we walk in the door. This is why we come back, it’s family! We love it so much we bring family over to meet you and to experience all your magnificent qualities.

With that I leave you with a loving Aloha and we will be back next year, God willing, to see all of you and share Thanksgiving again.

Vreni and Annina (Switzerland)
We just come back from Hawaii – and again we spent the most wonderful time on your island and in your hotel. We felt again (it was the 4th time for us) the warm welcome from you all and we’ll try to come back as soon as possible. Our granddaughter enjoyed the Keiki program and is now an expert in Ukulele, Lei-making and Pineapple cutting. Thanks to everyone!

Jim and Penny (Hilmar, CA)
Aloha to all at the most wonderful place to stay on Maui! We as a family have stayed there on our 4 trips to the island. We were very excited this year to receive our 3rd white Kukui nut bead! Also the ceremony at the end of the stay is a very moving one, at least for me, as Malihini is a very special person to all of us and she gave us some very interesting information at that time of the Hawaiian culture. We have made many friends while there and always try to seek out Regina to say hi as she was our 1st room-keeper and made my husband and I the most beautiful lei's and presented them to us on our last day, She did this 2 times and we are proud to display them in our home. Our trip was over Thanksgiving and the Thanksgiving dinner that the hotel put on was absolutely wonderful and I don't think you missed 1 thing for us to eat!! Fantastic and a good job! We are looking forward to coming back, hopefully in 07 but more realistic in 08, but you will forever be in our hearts!

Chrisie and Hermine (Yonkers, NY)
We take pleasure in writing our thoughts and feelings about our stay at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel in November of 06. I have been to various 5-star resorts all over the U.S, Caribbean and Mexico and none can compare to your outstanding KBH. Your staff were always friendly, helpful and absolutely brilliant. Actually, everything about your Hotel was wonderful. From the cleanliness of the premises to the entertainment and food. Malihini and Mikala in Guest Services were wonderful. The entire staff made us feel at home. We also cannot brag enough about the housekeeping staff. They were all fantastic and always made sure our needs were met.

The overall service was outstanding. The bar service was also great; it was so nice to be surrounded by people who always had a genuine smile on their faces and for them to remember our names!! We could go on and on with how much we enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to returning real soon and recommending KBH to everyone I know.

Harry & Debbie (Skippack, PA)
In March of 2006 we had our third wonderful vacation at the KBH. This time we brought two of our closest friends that re-newed their wedding vows on the beach. Even though we had told them how wonderful this hotel was, it could not compare to their experience. They quickly saw why we return to KBH every year for vacation. The staff, the true Hawaiian hospitality, location, amenities and restaurants make it the best hotel in the islands. We are always amazed how the staff remembers our names, greets us every time they see us, shopping and dining recommendations and take the time to give directions . The nightly entertainment is fun and also enlightening about the Hawaiian culture. Rudy is amazing. We watched his show every night. But without a doubt Alan in Guest Services is the best. He always took the time to answer any question and made us feel like we were true Ohana. Alan always has a smile on his face, and took the time to make sure that our vacation was perfect. We are planning our 2007 KBH vacation, hope to see you there.

Maggie and Randy (Hilton Head Island, SC)
Aloha from an Atlantic island! We have now been to the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel twice, in Feb 2004 and again in Feb 2006. We love spending Valentine's Day with the wonderful "family" at the KBH. February is rolling around again soon, and we are both wishing we could be sitting on the beautiful lana'i feeling the waves of the Pacific crash against beautiful Maui. Like others have mentioned in the KBH scrapbook, part of the joy is the feeling that it is all still there waiting for us. I have photos of KBH from our visits that decorate the desktop of my monitor screen. We have stayed 17 nights at your hotel, and it seems we will never tire of it. Although we loved all the wonderful sights to see and fabulous lu'aus on the rest of the island, truth is, every single night and every single breakfast we wanted to stay in our home away from home at KBH. Dancing under the stars to the beautiful music of Rudy and his band and dancers is the most romantic thing we can ever think of doing! Thank you for the most memorable holidays in our lives. We look forward to being with you all again very soon!

Bonnye & Don (Wichita Falls, TX)
We have stayed at the KBH for approximately 20 yrs; started in 1983. Our last visit was Christmas 2005. We have always enjoyed every visit. I think we brought our daughter, husband and grandson within the past 8 years. They said our last visit was the best at Christmas. My husband can’t travel now but we have wonderful dreams. Thanks for your hospitality. You are part of our family in our thoughts.

Paul & Lois (Hull, IA)
Just wanted to say "thanks" for the great time we had in Hawaii. We only wish that the airplane ride wasn't quite so long! We came with our whole family, on vacation for Christmas and it was great. We thank you for all the little "extras" at the hotel. The chocolates, the card, the turned down beds, the orchids, the macadamia nut coconut cookies, the friendly service, the clean rooms, the clean environment, the beautiful fragrant flowers and bushes, the friendly smiles, the culture lessons, help with setting up fun things to do and we could go on and on. We enjoyed every minute of it. We had so much fun in the ocean!

Attached is a picture of our group at our farewell and also our Hawaii-inspired Christmas tree. Sorry the tree picture is so dark, but we had lights, balls and flowers on it to remind us of the beautiful, fragrant flowers of Hawaii.

Sam & Sue (Norristown, PA)
After hearing about the many wonderful experiences my friends had while staying at your hotel, my husband and I decided to make the trip to Hawaii. Our stay at your hotel was an exceptional one! Out of the three islands we stayed at, your hotel was farmost the best hotel of our entire trip. I was so glad that we chose your location to renew our vows at the beach. Your staff was always helpful, especially Alan from Guest Services. After only meeting my husband and I only once, he remembered our names the entire stay, always greeted us with a smile and answered any questions we had about the Hawaiian culture. We also enjoyed Rudy and his nightly shows. We made sure we were back every night so we did not miss one of them. The rooms were spacious and clean. We look forward to staying at your Hotel when we come back to Hawaii.

Glynn, Bernadette & Patrick (Huntington Beach, CA)
We have been coming to Maui for the last 15 years...there is no place like it! We have tried every hotel in the Lahaina area. Once we tried the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel...we haven't gone anywhere else. The staff is the friendliest staff I've ever met! It is a fun place for both my son and my husband and myself. I have recommended it to several friends who also will not go anywhere else. This picture was just taken in December of 2006. This is my son with a whole group of his new buddies he met! A great time was had by all!! Thank you to the KBH management and staff.

Rhonda
Just wanted to tell you that our stay at KBH was great. The rooms exceeded our expectations. Your beachfront location is awesome and the grounds/pool area are nice and relaxing. The employees of KBH are outstanding and we really appreciated their friendliness and helpfulness. We could not have had a happier time. Thank you so much.

Joyce
I previously sent my comments in Janaury 2007 shortly after we returned from our 11 days at KBH Maui. The hotel staff is absolutely marvelous in their accommodating us as their guests. This was our fifth trip back and we were welcomed home most generously. The food at both the Tiki Restaurant and the Mixed Plate Restaurant was very good. The free breakfast that came with our room was a great start to each day. We will return again in 2007 with our family as that is how we will celebrate Christmas.

Carolyn (Prospect, CT)
I am sorry that it has taken me so long to write, but after receiving the Christmas card, I knew that I had to reciprocate soon. I treated my mom, Frances to a Hawai'i vacation in honor of her 77th birthday and to myself for having beaten Stage II Breast Cancer. I never anticipated how amazing Ka'anapali Beach Hotel would be. It turned out to be the highlight of our two week Hawai'i journey. We did also love Honolulu, but there was no comparison to Ka'anapali. We felt like we were with local people for the first time. The food was excellent; my mom especially liked the local preparations available in the less formal front dining area.

The advice of the activities desk was superb. I went on a gorgeous sunrise bikeride down the volcano of Haleakala, hiked with a great guide up and down waterfalls and through rain forest, and snorkeled with sea turtles! Everything was over the top. I know that when I return to Hawai'i, I will come back to Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. I even bought my favorite two dresses at the hotel gift shop, of course made by local Hawaiians. I have attached two photos of my mom and myself (in one of the dresses!) at the hotel. Thank you all again for the time of our lives. My mom constantly talks about it. She doesn't know it yet, but I plan to bring her there again.

This was our 4th visit to KBH. This is our family vacation spot, there has been as many as 22 of us at 1 time. Everyone finds something special here from the kids to the grandparents. The staff is great and the location is perfect for all ages. Thanks for making our vacation great, see you next November.

Mike & Georgia (St. Cloud, MN)
Only wonderful things to say. We visited KBH March 2006 and found it to be a very traditional Hawaiian hotel with the grounds so beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are spacious and lovely with a gorgeous view. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location is incredible, so close to Black Rock where the snorkeling is great and to the shopping village. Luau's are close by. Kaanapali Beach is one of our favorite beaches. The show at the hotel was traditional and a lot of fun. It was even fun to watch it from our room after we grew tired. The breakfast at the onsite buffet was very good and so handy. We didn't make it to dinner there, but it smelled delicious. I love when the people came in and sold their artwork in and outside the hotel. To end our trip, we participated in the parting ceremony - very emotional for many. My lei is hanging in a very special place. Thank you, Kaanapali Beach Hotel for a memorable time.

Heather (McNierney)
We have been home in Virginia for just a week now and are already missing your wonderful hotel. My girls had the best experience. I just wanted to share a picture for you scrapbook. Thank you again for all the hospitality.

Sarah (Oahu)
My friends & I had a wonderful relaxing time while we were there thank you very much.

Steve & Julie (Oaktown, IN)
We have been to Maui 4 times now and i wish we would have stayed at KBH everytime. We stayed other places but none has been as special as your hotel to us. We hope to come back to Maui on our 30th wedding anniversary Jan 2008 for 2 weeks and there is no other place we will stay but KBH.

Paul (Reading, MA)
My wife and I, along with my brother and sister in law recently spent the better part of two weeks in Hawaii. We started our first week in Kona and ended the first week with two nights in the Volcano House. Then we flew from Hilo to your beautiful island.

The highlight of our trip to Hawaii was definitely the 5 days (Jan. 14 - 18, 2007) that we had the pleasure of staying at your beautiful hotel! What a wonderful way to start out a new year. Our daughter, Lynette and her husband stayed with you on their honeymoon in July 2005 and when they heard that we were going to Hawaii this year in part to celebrate our 40th anniversary they said "Don't go to Hawaii without going to Maui and don't stay anywhere in Maui but KBH." We are so grateful to them for having made that recommendation.

From the moment of our arrival we were treated like royalty by everyone we met from the porters who took care of our luggage to the reception desk and guest services agents and the housekeeping staff as well. We have traveled extensively and have never had such an uplifting experience. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated and the view from our balcony overlooking the pool and beyond to the ocean was just breathtaking! And this was just the start. As we were soon to find out everything else we experienced was beyond our expectations from menu selections to food and drink preparation and a wait-staff that were extraordinarily friendly and attentive. We loved your elaborate breakfast buffet in The Mixed Plate which seemed to be such a great way to start the day. Then it was off to the pool or the beach or out to the golf course or visiting the many shops and museums that were within walking distance. Later in the evening following a gourmet dinner we worked off the extra calories by joining others on the dance floor for a delightful couple of hours dancing under the stars to a variety of dance music provided by an excellent band. On the day of our departure, although sad to leave, we enjoyed the parting ceremony conducted by Malihini Keahi-Heath from Guest Services. We will definitely return when the opportunity presents itself in the future and will highly recommend your facility to others.

Tracy & John (Brooklyn, NY)
My fiance and I only spent the day at KBH during a press trip in early January. But the staff at your hotel, particularly Malihini, made us feel so welcome we would love to come back. I love that unlike most of the Kaanapali resort hotels, KBH stresses Hawaiian culture and employs the largest percentage of native Hawaiians. John and I can't wait to come back to Maui and visit our new friends at KBH.

Ed & Lynette (Camden, NY)
Dear Ka'anapali friends & family,As you can see from the attached photo, after a glorious vacation in Honolulu and Maui, we returned home to central New York to a terrible winter. However, while in your beautiful midst, we were able to forget about the snow and cold and enjoy your wonderful hospitality. We certainly can't say enough about the atmosphere at Ka'anapali and we were made to feel like "family" and not just visitors. Everything about your hotel is superb and we hope to return again for a longer stay. Mahalo once again for a truly wonderful time.

Mike & Mary (Chicago Ridge, IL)
We just spent 7 wonderful nights at the KBH and we just loved it. The staff and guest services were so nice. You felt like you were at home. The service was great and I loved the church by the sea service. And when we went down to check out the ceremony that they gave us was so beautiful. Our next stay will no doubt be back at the KBH. Mahalo for the wonderful memories.

Art and Vicki (Wheafield, Indiana)
My husband and I had our dream vacation in January of 2007. We chose The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very helpful. This was our first time to Maui let alone Hawaii and hopefully not our last. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were gorgeous. We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary. Thank you very much for making our dream vacation one that we will never forget.

Noel (Castepark, Ireland)
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel for some of our honeymoon in Nov 2004. It was the most fantastic stay of our trip. Very friendly & helpful staff made our stay fantastic. We would like too thank all the management & staff for all their help & kindness during our stay. THANK YOU ALL.

Dan & Bev (Appleton, WI)
Mahalo for the vacation of our dreams. My husband & I were celebrating our 34th Wedding Anniversary & it will be one that we will always remember. It was our first time to Hawaii & God willing, it won't be our last. Everything about our stay at KBH was a dream come true. The hospitality was great & we hated to leave. We will definitely come back to stay at KBH. The memories will live on forever.

Fred & Sue (Ontario, Canada)
Just wanted to let you know we just returned from a great week at the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. As this was our fourth time to the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel as soon as we where let off by the shuttle service we feel we have come home again. Right from the people that handled our luggage, check-in, reservations, maid service, food service, entertainment, sunshine and the beauty of the ocean. It was great! Please let Rudy know we thoroughly enjoyed his music every night, as we where in Maui to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary we could not have chosen a more romantic place to be. If it wasn’t for such a long airplane ride we would certainly be in Maui more often. So until we meet again "Maui is the best" and we loved the " Hawiaiian Culture" of the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel.

Katie (Winnipeg Manitoba)
I just got home from the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel and i had the best time of my life. I wish I was still at the hotel. The staff are so friendly and are there for you at all times. They care about their guests and are willing to do almost anything to make their guests happy. The location of the hotel is ideal with lots to do and many places to go. The complimentary classes the hotel provided were awesome. I did the Lei making and the Hula Dance lesson. It was great to be able to learn the different Hawaiian activities that you can't do at home. The entertainment in the evening just makes everyday shine. Watching professional hula dancers and listening to Rudy and his group makes you feel like your in heaven. The best part of my 10 day trip was snorkeling in the ocean and being able to hear the whales calls to each other. The rooms are very warm and welcoming and you can call them home in an instant! Alan from Guest services always greeted me with a smile. It was so nice to now that once you've been to the hotel once that you are then considered family. I definitely plan on returning to the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel every year. I had the time of my life. If your planning to go to Maui I highly recommend the KBH to anyone!

Charles & Lynda (Cincinnati, OH)
My husband and I just returned from a wonderful 11 day trip from Maui, Hawaii. We stayed at Ka'anapali Beach Hotel which is our favorite and only hotel to stay in Maui. We have stayed here on a previous trip and hopefully will get to return again in the near future. It is just a wonderful place to stay. The Hawaiian culture is present anywhere you are at the hotel. The service is excellent. In particular Malihini Keahi-Heath is just a wonderful person. She is truly a gem to your hotel. We consider her a friend. Malihini suggested many wonderful things to do while we were in Maui.

Jean & Fred (Massachusetts)
We started coming to KBH for our anniversaries on a recommendation my husband received from a co-worker. We fell in love with the hotel! The grounds are beautiful, spacious, and well kept. You won't find lounge chairs lined up side by side, row by row like you see at the condo/hotels. Whether you sit on the beach or on the grounds you will know the true meaning of "relax". The staff will make you feel part of the "Ohana" (family). The nightly Hawaiian hula show and entertainment provided by Rudy and his band are not to be missed. They are so talented! His rendition of "Phantom" on the vibraharp is just incredible!

You are given a warm sendoff at the end of your stay, along with a kukui nut lei. Each time you return, with the lei, a white kukui nut is added to mark your visit - it was our 5th! There are so many packages to pick from with amenities such as Tiki Terrace Restaurant, fresh fruit, nightly turndown (the macadamia nut cookies are so good), etc. Mahalo to Malihini for allowing me to take her picture as she left the Guest Service desk at the end of what I'm sure was a long day. Her beauty inside and out made for a beautiful picture! We're already making plans to come back next year!

Ruth & Glen (Illinois)
My wife and I stayed in your heaven on earth this past February 2007 and enjoyed every minute. Your employee's were friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We both learned new respect for the ocean and it's powerful waves. Hated to return to the cold and snow in Illinois. We hope someday to return to your friendly and beautiful hotel.

Joan & Joanna
My mom and I vacation to the islands quite a bit, but this was our first trip to Maui. My mom had done her research and decided on KBH...we were so happy she did! KBH is the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at. Early in the mornings the groundsmen are out making perfect the grounds, fixing chairs at poolside and making things perfect for when the guests awaken. The staff is amazing, everyone is so friendly and FULL of aloha! Considering the airline had lost our luggage, the staff was very concerned; when our luggage arrived...finally...everyone seemed to share in our joy. Sally in reservations was a joy and so helpful. Nora at the bell desk was extremely helpful during the luggage dilemma and Bobby at the bell desk is the man to see when you need a ride, he was great! The nightly entertainment was fabulous, and we were fortunate enough to be there the night Genoa Keawe performed, we truly felt pure aloha that evening. We absolutely loved our stay and are looking forward to September when we can return...we have found our new home away from home!

Jim and Mary (La Jolla, CA)
What a find! We are looking so forward to coming back. Wonderful and caring staff, the grounds are beautiful, rooms are comfortable...you do feel like you are in old Maui. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Jim & Jane (Gilbert, AZ)
We vacationed at your hotel over Christmas '06 for 2 weeks. We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the hotel, the hospitality of your employees, the Hula shows, swimming with the turtles...Everything was great! It was our 2nd visit to your hotel. We love the Kannapali Beach Hotel! We will never stay anywhere else on Maui. We miss Maui terribly and are planning another visit next year! See you next year! Can't wait!

Robert & Cindy (Newmarket,Canada)
We took our first trip to K.B.H. in Maui in Feb. 2005 to get married. Our second trip in Feb 2006 and our third trip in Feb 2007 Each trip gets better than the last one. The staff is excellent. The three weeks we spent there were the best three weeks of any vacation we had. We felt so welcomed and part of the K.B.H. family. Duane, Malihini, Rudy, Alan, Mikala, Rance and Michiyo impressed us always. They all spoiled us each day. At K.B.H. you get treated like royalty. We would not want to change a thing. We just wish we could stay longer. What a wonderful place to spend your vacation. We dream about our next trip in Feb 2008 for another three weeks. Thank you all for a wonderful time. The best one yet. We love you all. MAHALO

Garnett Family (Penticton, BC, Canada)
Aloha from the Garnett Family, Penticton, BC, Canada. Mom and Dad Garnett have been staying at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel for over 30 years. Now a new generation of KBHer's are hooked look for Bailey, Sydney, Jackson, Cole and Zackary running free, searching for geckos, basking in the sun and having the time of their lives. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's the best place for the kids of all ages! This picture of our crew was taken on New Years 2007! Thanks again Malihni Keahi Heath! We had a wonderful Christmas at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. We'll see you soon. Take Care and God Bless.

John and Joanne (Staten Island, New York)
We spent our first Hawaiian vacation at KBH in Maui . From the time we arrived to the time we left, we felt like we were in heaven. Our stay was very relaxing and we were surprised to find out that our choice in picking KBH was very wise when we spoke to a couple who have been guests for the past eight years and they couldn't believe that we found you on our first visit.... to say that we felt as if we were home would be an understatement! Needless to say we could not stop talking about our vacation and then when we came home we were so excited when we saw "our hotel" on the travel channel... with the staff in the lobby! We especially enjoyed the Sunday service outdoors with the Reverend Bev... When we do get to come back to Hawaii , we will definitely be staying at KBH. Aloha and Mahalo.

Randy & Michelle (Missouri)
We stayed at the Ka`anapali Beach Hotel in February 2007, our seventh stay at the hotel. We knew from our first stay at the Ka`anapali Beach Hotel—14 years ago—that this was where we wanted to return each time we come back to Maui. The people at the hotel are more than just employees at an establishment: they get to know you, they make you feel welcome and as though you’re a part of their family, and they remember you when you come back despite having met hundreds or thousands of other guests between your stays there. When people say Ka`anapali Beach Hotel is the most Hawaiian hotel, they are so right. It is more than just a place to stay; it is a place where you feel like part of the `ohana… the family.

Susan (Oaklawn, IL)
WOW! Our first trip to Maui brought us to KBH, March 2006! The first morning a whale breached just as if to say Aloha! I recently saw a segment about KBH on the Travel Channel: Hawaii's Do's and Don'ts. Of course KBH was a DO! I am dusting my lei off, and making plans for March 2008. I can't wait until I return.

Tracey & Antonio (Malibu, CA)
I just wanted to send a note to express how impressed my husband and I were with our recent stay at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. We were returning guests (we were able to book the same room as in the past) and knew what our stay would be like, but even those memories were surpassed with our latest experience. We had one of the most special vacations: great breakfasts, relaxing beach cabanas, easy walking to all shopping and restaurants, and we went sailing on Trilogy almost every day. In addition, there were kind gifts from the hotel to welcome us back. We were truly sad to go but are looking forward to our next stay with the Kaanapali Beach Hotel family. Thank you for all your kind attention to us.

Roger and Donna (Drexel Hill, PA)
Aloha! My husband and I just returned home from our amazing stay at KBH. We are already planning another trip to Maui! Of course, we will stay at Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The beauty of the place, the lovely people, especially Alan, one of the guest service agents, made our vacation so special. Thank you, KBH, for taking such good care of us while we were there.

Lindahl Family (Iowa)
Come December 26, 2007, my husband and I will be making our fifth trip to KBH Maui. December 25, 2005, my two sons, their wives, and their four children joined us in Maui for one week. This year, December 26, 2007, they will be joining us once again for a week in Maui only this time we will have five grandchildren rather than four, the youngest one will be 18 months old. Last year in 2006 when the grandkids found out that Grandpa and I were going back to Maui they wanted to go but I told them not this time, BUT, I said how about Christmas 2007 and that was a unanimous yes -- including the adults. KBH welcomes you home upon your return and tears are shed when leaving one week later as you feel as though you are leaving family behind. The employees are nothing short of fantastic, treating everyone very special. The complimentary breakfasts are wonderful as is all the food served. The nightly hula show is such fun and relaxing. Our grandchildren did the Kids Passport and are eagerly looking forward to that once again. They had great fun trying to say their Hawaiian name. Thank you again for a wonderful time and God willing we will see you all December 2007.

Debbie and Mike (Bartlett, IL)
Aloha!! We just got home from our 5th stay at KBH. We love your hotel! We stumbled upon it quite a few years back, and have been coming back ever since! Our room in the Molokai wing was wonderful. It's our favorite wing to stay in. Our children (ages 11 and 8) love the Passport activities. Malihini and Alan made them feel so welcome, and they both had a great time. The Tiki Grill and the Terrace serve 'ONO' food! The proximity to the beach and pool area is wonderful. We just wanted to say a big 'Mahalo' to everyone at KBH for making us feel like we were at 'home'. We will definitely return in the future. I am enclosing a picture of us from the day we left.

Ketola Family (Wisconsin)
We have stayed at KBH three times, visiting the islands every other year around our anniversary in January. KBH truly is our home away from home. After our first visit, the next two times were truly a welcome home experience. We are looking forward to our stay there again in 2008. My husband is reluctant to tell people about KBH; he wants to keep it a secret so that it is always available when we want to visit. Keep up the great work KBH.

Graham Family
My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon at the KBH. We had an amazing time soaking up the sun and the Hawaiian culture. There was so much to do - especially at the hotel, and I will have to return to try the couple of things I didn't try this visit. Your hotel was recommended to me and I will be sure to recommend it to others.

Joyce and Kurt (Apopka, Florida)
Aloha! My husband and I just spent a week (April 21 - 27) at Kaanapali Beach Hotel and LOVED it! We were welcomed and made to feel part of the KBH ohana! I highly recommend KBH if you want to feel you are truly in Hawaii. The staff was gracious and helpful....the food at the Tiki Terrace and Aloha Mixed Plate was delicious....the view from our ocean front room absolutely beautiful! We can't wait to come back and visit our new ohana. Mahalo for the memories!

Cynthia, Rafael & Kids (Lake Oswego, OR)
We stayed at the KBH for four nights the first week of April and had an AMAZING time. The set-up was ideal for a family with young kids who finds true relaxation a challenge. The staff was warm and genuine and taught us a lot about Hawaiian culture, making it a very special experience. We will definitely go back. We recommend your hotel with great enthusiasm.

Jody (Vacaville, CA)
I recently visited the Kaanapali Beach Hotel in the beginning of May and had a wonderful time. We had a nice room, great service, a beautiful view of the courtyard and ocean and some tasty food. My Mom and I had the most memorable time in Maui. I am a travel agent for AAA Northern California and have full confidence in recommending your resort too many clients!

Christian & Carol (Kissimmee, FL)
We just returned from Maui and stayed at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel utilizing your 2007 Romance Package! What a deal! What a honeymoon! What a hotel! From the moment we pulled in front of the hotel, we were greeted with the most superb and friendly staff. We fell in love with Esther at the front desk and even brought her some banana bread we bought on the Road to Hana. I can't say enough about the warm and friendly staff...they were the best! The grounds are beautiful, again the staff friendly, and the room we had was clean and spacious. We stayed on the Maui wing on the 6th floor and had the most spectacular view of the ocean and the hotel grounds. We loved the turn down service each night and the closing ceremony made us feel like family. We can't wait to return and get a "light colored kukui nut" for our Kaanapali family lei. We were on our honeymoon, but the hotel really is a great place for families as well and we plan on bringing our two sons back next year. Snorkeling at Black Rock was amazing....and we loved the shopping just a few short steps away at Whaler's Village. We did the whale watching with Trilogy and had the best time. I can't imagine any vacation we take can compare to this one....but we will definitely try...and the next time we go to Maui...we will be returning to our family at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel! Mahalo Kaanapali family for your wonderful generosity!
