KBH Welcomes New Musical Talent "Na Wahine Nahenahe"
Kaanapali Beach, Maui, Hawaii (March 19, 2007) - Come and be part of opening Sunday for the musical group, Na Wahine Nahenahe on March 25, 2007. The mother-daughter group will grace the stage of the Kaanapali Beach Hotel’s courtyard as entertainment for the weekly Kaanapali Champagne Brunch. The distinctive sounds of the group are sure to establish an immediate following.

The mother-daughter duo, Reiko Fukino and Nalei Pokipala, will feature Hawaiian and contemporary musical selections with Hawaiian storey telling. Their soft, soothing sounds were the underlying inspiration for their group name, Nahenahe, which means soothing or melodious in Hawaiian. The full title means sweet, soothing melodies of women.
Reiko and Nalei both graduated from Kamehameha Schools, where they both expressed and developed their musical talents. “Music has always been a part of our lives…it is a rejuvenating demonstration that we love to share with others,” said Reiko Fukino. They are known for creating a magical Maui ambiance assured to compliment the lavish Champagne Brunch of Ka`anapali Beach Hotel fame.
