My husband and I stayed at the hotel for our first visit to Maui and couldn’t be happier. The people were more than helpful and nice and the hotel was very beautiful. Loved being able to walk the beach and so close to all the attractions at the resort. We will definitely be back next year.

We took our family vacation to the KBH this year, we were very pleased with everything, it seemed like they did everything to make your stay work the best they could for you. Beach was great, those that snorkeled enjoyed Black Rock, shopping at finger tips.
The Hi-light would be the Magic Show, dinner was very good, served nicely, and fast. During dinner we were entertained by the Hawaiian Culture through dance, song, and story. Then came the Magic Show, all we can say is you must attend, it was most entertaining, I do not think anyone should go to Maui and miss the Magic Show at KBH. We are now working around schedules to make our reservations to return.

I would like to thank the staff of Kaanapali Beach Hotel for the greatest vacation ever!!!! Our stay in Hawaii was stress free due to the wonderful staff at our hotel. From Nenika, our maid, who hugged us when we left, to Patty who went above and beyond with recommendations to set us up with our great tours, to Esther, at the front desk, always with a smile, answering all our questions, to Jessie in the gift shop, to Rance “who loves a picture”, to the bartender at the Tiki Bar, whom my Husband called maestro. And, saving the best for last, let’s not forget Malahini, with her gentle soul and awesome teaching and Mike who took time to sit with us and discussed real estate in Maui. We were awed by the sense of caring these people showed. This was our first trip to Hawaii and we spent our time solely in Maui and did not regret it.
We had much rest and relaxation, along with scuba diving, whale watching, the magic show-Kupanaha, ’Ulalena at the Maui Theatre, Old Lahaina Luau and many memorable meals. When we left we felt like we were leaving friends. Thank you for the Kukui Nut lei. WE WILL BE BACK!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Having just returned from two weeks vacation at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel we wanted to report how much we enjoyed our stay. The hotel provides a truly “Hawaiian” experience such that the staff make you feel you genuinely belong to the Kaanapali family. The service, the room, the restaurant food and the beautiful grounds make for a truly wonderful vacation. Mahalo!

I wanted to send a quick note to thank you for a wonderful vacation. It was my second visit to your hotel and I could not imagine staying anywhere else. This most recent trip, I brought with me 20+ family members and they all loved your hotel. Your wonderful employees, beautiful grounds, excellent location, and enjoyable hotel activities made such a lasting impression. We cannot wait to visit again.

We have been coming to KBH for the last 15 years! The staff is amazing and they truly live the Hawaiian culture. Throughout the years, we have shared in the aloha experience of excellence with Malihini, Mikiala, Tom and Dale (the bartenders), Jaime, Solome, Rudy, McLord, Lopaka, Jimmy (the cook), and many others. Each time that we return, we are welcomed as "Ohana" and the spirit that is Hawaii. We truly enjoy the food, entertainment, and amenities, but most of all the Hawaiian spirit of the entire staff! One year we did stay at a luxurious resort in Maui "for the experience" and quickly realized that the personalization, care, and culture of the islands were missing! We came back to our "home away from home" the next year and every year since then. We have collected many white kukui nuts with pride and always recommend this hotel to our friends and family. Mahalo!

My husband and I planned and saved for a trip to Hawaii for our 25th anniversary for about a year. We arrived in Maui Dec. 2009, and the hotel we had booked was not as we had expected it. I contacted the Kaanapali Beach Hotel, and reached Holly who provided superior customer service, and got us a room. We had the best time on our vacation, and loved everything about your hotel. The rooms, the grounds, the service, everything was exactly the perfect Hawaiian experience. We will definitely return to KBH, and we have recommended you to anyone who has asked where we stayed on our trip. A big kudos to Holly for being so helpful, and making our stay in Maui truly memorable.
– Mike and Beth MacDonnell
Our stay was exceptional. The grounds, the staff, the food and entertainment were fantastic. We always look forward to staying at your wonderful hotel. Thank you so much for the highlight of our year.

My husband and I spent Thanksgiving and the next 10 days back at KBH. We originally stayed at KBH for our honeymoon in 2006 and fell in love with the place and the people. We returned for our 2nd anniversary and again in November 2009 for our 3rd anniversary. It was great to see the family, ohana, again. This is a truly special place. It’s the perfect place to relax and have fun. We attended more of the activities this time and they are fantastic. Not only did we get to learn “how to” but we learned about the Hawaiian culture more, which has always been fascinating to us both. We are from South Carolina and want to know we are in Maui when we stay there. The Kaanapali Beach Hotel is “the” one to stay at to get the true feel of Maui. The staff and others at the hotel are the best. And for the best pina colada and hot dog, nothing beats the Tiki Bar & Grill. We will be returning again soon.

We just got back home from our stay at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel (unfortunately)...we were trying to figure out a way to stay longer. We really enjoyed everyone's help with setting up the wedding and loved the site at the Naupaka Lawn. The minister that Madalene recommended, Reverend Laki, was absolutely incredible. He made the day.
Angel loved her day at the spa with Coco before the wedding. All in all, it was a wonderful trip and if we can save enough money to come back to Maui again, we will definitely plan to stay with you again. Also, our room attendant (Mi Nan) was very friendly and kind as well. Hope to see you all again.

My husband and I have just returned from yet another wonderful time at our favorite vacation spot in Maui, Kaanapali Beach Hotel. We have visited Maui for the past six years and have stayed with our wonderful Ohana at KBH five times and highly recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives. Every time we return we are warmly greeted and welcomed by the staff, our room is always comfortable and clean, the grounds are beautifully kept, the meals at the Tiki Terrace are delicious, and the nightly Hula show is always fun and entertaining.
This year we left our “mainland family” to celebrate our 43rd Wedding Anniversary with our Ohana at KBH and enjoyed every moment of our stay, from breakfast to bedtime! The staff is always eager to help you and give you ideas and information about activities on the island. There are many activities from hula lessons to lei making at the hotel as well as an enjoyable Magic Show Dinner Theater, Kupanaha. We recommend attending the orientation breakfast on the first morning as it helps to orient you to the island and hotel. The entire staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and assure that you are enjoying your stay, we just love them! If you are truly interested in learning more about the Hawaiian culture, the Kaanapali Beach Hotel is where you need to stay. I promise, you will absolutely LOVE it! Mahalo to our Ohana at KBH, we look forward to our return,

Thank you again for making our entire family feel as if we came home one more time. I brought the third generation this time and she thought Maui and KBH was beautiful too! It is so hard to leave every time we visit.
I have stayed at KBH with my family so many times (I think about 6 or 7 now I have lost count?) I have now become attached to the staff at the beach shack and the staff in front and I look forward to seeing you all when I come. Even Josie in housekeeping.
I got home this time and got my new edition of AAA magazine and low and behold there was KBH on the cover and all the pictures of my favorite spots on the beach and my people !! Like the magazine says: Its the people who make Maui - And they all work at KBH ! I am thrilled as now I can start planning my next trip for the coming year. Thank you again for all the Aloha and for always making us feel so at home and like we are your Ohana. Regards and Mahalo,
– Gene, Cathy and our entire family (Corey, Candice, and Chloe )
The minute we checked in the staff was wonderful and extremely helpful. Everyone treated you like family. When we met Malihini, a Guest Services Agent, we felt like we had known her for years. The Welcome Breakfast was very informative and helped us to decide on what activities we wanted to do, and the Guest Services staff were very knowledgeable and helped us arrange the tours for us. We made new friends and can understand why people keep coming back to Kaanapali Beach Hotel. We have already recommended it to quite a few people and can't wait to go back next year.

We had a wonderful visit, our second, at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. We were treated with respect and kindness. We are especially fond of Malihini and Dale at the Tiki Bar. We love them both for truly making us feel like family. Without them it just wouldn't be the same! Also Bobby and the rest of the valet guys and the sweet lady at the front desk.

ALOHA! Wanted to let all potential Hawaii vacationers to check out KBH. We spent 2 glorious weeks there this fall. I am and will continue to tell people that THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!
Old and young alike will find many exciting things to do. Several activities come free with the stay. I talked to several other people staying in the area who were attracted to KBH and loved the family atmosphere and the friendly people who work here. When planning their next Maui visit they are going to stay here.
We could have spent more money on newer hotels on the Kaanapali Beach but this place is like no other. It truly is the MOST HAWAIIAN hotel. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty to make your stay most satisfying. This area is so full of history and learning about it makes the stay even more endearing and they make you feel like family.
Close to shops, restaurants, great snorkeling, great beach, free nightly entertainment, a beautiful spacious garden area, pool and local artisans: KBH has it all!!! All guest service agents are superb! If you are going to Maui, KBH is the place to stay. Mahalo!
–The West family, Ohio
We recently stayed at the KAANAPALI BEACH HOTEL. This was our second time and both times we stayed for two weeks. We will be coming back, that is a guarantee. Your staff was of the highest caliber and we could not have been happier. Your bartenders at the bar were all fantastic. We hopefully will be back in 2011 if not sooner. Thank You all for such a fantastic vacation. When you advertise that you are Hawaii's most Hawaiian hotel you are extremely correct. Hope to see you all again real soon....
– Linda and Lloyd
My husband and I spent 11 wonderful days at KBH in early September. Being our 5th trip, we knew exactly what to expect. Absolute beauty, relaxing atmosphere, colorful snorkeling, excellent food, and wonderful congenial people. "Location, location, location" - KBH has the best! Walks on the beach are only steps from your door, shopping and excellent restaurants only steps down the beach walk, the most awesome sunsets are just beyond the beach (ha!), and snorkeling at Black Rock is great! I honestly love coming to KBH.
We had breakfast every morning and dinner one evening at the on-site Tiki Terrace Restaurant. All the food was outstanding. Edgar quickly became our “personal” waiter. The only days we didn't use him, were on his days off. Actually, all the staff is so personable we get a "favorite" every time we come to your wonderful home away from our home. We are now planning to return in 2011 and bring a couple of our grandkids with us. Absolutely can't wait! Mahalo!
– Billy & Elaine
My wife and I stayed at your hotel last week. This is the third time we have stayed at KBH. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. The staff and hotel are excellent. It is very true when they say Kaanapali Beach Hotel is Maui's most Hawaiian Hotel.
– Norma and Leonard
My wife and I visited the Kaanapali Beach Hotel in mid-September and had a great time. The advertising is correct - this is Hawaii's Most Hawaiian hotel. It is much more than a beach resort - the daily hula shows and the many free Hawaiian experiences guarantee that. We were in the Lanai wing and the room was remodeled, well sized and very comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The Tiki Bar is fantastic with the nicest bartenders around while the Sunday Brunch was fabulous. Thank you to all the staff for making this our best trip to Maui ever.

What a year! You know the verse where it says God will not give you more that you can handle? Well He must think we are mighty strong people. I've spent the last two years caring for my mother with lung cancer that spread throughout her body. I've spent those two years living out of a suitcase with continuous trips to the hospital and taking turns caring for her at her home. She was laid to rest in August of '08. That summer we also placed Pat's father with Alzheimer's in nursing home care. As result of that, my husband is not only loosing his father to this ugly disease but has lost the trust in his family as the family business was "gifted" to his brother-in-law by his mother and therefore Pat has lost his inheritance that was promised to him by his father stated in his will. The stress he has been under is taking a toll. Weeks after the passing of my mother, we learned that my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. My sisters and I have all taken our turns this year with mammogram scares. I am happy to say she is now cancer free after a grueling year of chemo. As if that wasn't enough, our daughter was then diagnosed with MS a week after that. You can imagine out devastation. This was not the dream we had for our little girl. She will be graduating this winter with a degree in finance. We are very proud of the way she is handling all of this.
When spring came in '09, we decided we needed to get away to relax and relax we did at your home on Maui. We came to the right place at the right time. When I woke the next morning to the sight and sound of the ocean and the scent of the flowering trees, I looked at my husband and said Pinch me. Is this real?
Of coarse like everyone, we thought we should do it all. Well we ended up staying "home" pretty much the whole time. I say "home" because that is how we were treated and felt. We were greeted with open arms just as if we were coming "home". Malihini, you reminded me a lot of my mother who passed way. Your loving eyes and warm hospitality touched me in such a way I felt my broken spirit start to heal.
Hospitality is for family and entertainment is for guests. Thank you for treating us as your family. That is truly what we came for and we truly received a lot more.
So to make a long story longer, if you need a trip home for some tender loving care, Kaanapali Beach Hotel is the place you can call "home". Home is truly where the heart is. Thank you. We look forward to coming home again.

I spent 10 days at your hotel in July of this year. Everyone makes you feel at home once you arrive. Mahilini personifies the perfect hostess and the others are great also. The rooms are neat and pleasant, the food delicious, the grounds immaculate. It is a wonderful place to kick back, relax and enjoy. I stayed there years ago when the roads were all dirt. It was nice then and it’s the very best spot on Maui now.
– Charlotte, Green Valley, AZ
We just got back from a wonderful stay at the KBH. We stayed there for 11 nights and wished we had booked for longer. Our room was lovely and very clean. The grounds were so beautiful and well kept and the flowers WOW!!!!! We came with our 3 children who were delighted with all the activities the hotel had to offer. The director of Guest Services Rance Villarimo was always available to answer questions and to talk to us and the children! We felt like family. Our older son loved chatting with Nani at the tour desk and would visit her every day! We learned a lot about the Hawaiian culture and were very sad to leave. The food at the Tiki Terrace was amazing! We will definitely return!!!! Thanks KBH for making Maui feel like home!!! Aloha!

Just want to drop a quick note to let you know and thank you and your staff for a great vacation! My wife Faith and I had one of the most relaxing vacations that we have ever had, the hotel and grounds were prefect and with room to spare! Your beach and pool area just added to the total package (terrific view), and it is great to have most all the services (snorkeling, surfing, and nightly shows all at one location). The hotel staff always was extremely helpful and friendly always willing to help and answer questions.
A big thanks to Chantal at the Tiki Bar, for making the evenings so enjoyable and for being so friendly, she was one of the first staff members that we met, her and her attitude got the Maui experience to start, relaxing is the word.
Thanks for a great stay. Looking forward to when we can return.
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and your sharing of Hawaiian culture and history. We stayed for five nights at Kaanapali Beach Hotel and this was a major enjoyment during our total three-week stay in Hawaii.
Everything about the Kaanapali Beach Hotel made us happy to be there. We could write a lot of words, but the pictures will tell the story better. Things that impressed us included: welcome buffet breakfast and songs by staff; daily buffet breakfasts; really good advice on how to get around on Maui; the convenient parking garage; our room and its lanai; the Tiki Bar and the nightly musicians; whale tails visible from the beach; the beach itself and the beach walking path; how we were treated by phone when making reservations; our greeting upon arrival and our special departure with kukui nut leis. The leis hang in our library to remind us of your very special place on Planet Earth and in our hearts. We hope to see you all again–sooner than later. We wish you a wonderful year. Mahalo Nui

My first trip to Maui with my husband and children, ages 12 and 9, was exceptional at this hotel. The warm and friendly atmosphere and beauty was amazing. This hotel not only provided us an awesome place to stay beach, pool, garden, best snorkeling at Black Rock only yards away-it enriched our knowledge of Hawaii and the beautiful culture it prides itself with. The hotel offered complimentary classes on hula dancing, ukulele, sand art, lei making, notecard, story telling, pineapple presentation, and garden walks. Not only were the activities fun my family and I were given detailed information on the culture and how the activities relate to their history. Malihini, staff member, taught most of our classes and her pride in sharing her wealth of knowledge embraced us all. This hotel also offered complimentary entertainment nightly at their Tiki Terrace Restaurant next to the beautiful gardens, this entertainment was superb–dancing, singing, hula, ukulele. The entertainment was just as fabulous as the expensive luaus offered at Maui. I walked along all the hotels along Kaanapali and did not get the warm welcome feeling that the Kaanapali beach hotel gave me. If I am ever fortunate to get back to Maui–Kaanapali Beach Hotel is where you will find me.

I just returned from staying at your terrific hotel. It was outstanding. It was our first time visiting Maui and your hotel lived up to all our expectations. It actually exceeded them.
It is truly the most Hawaiian hotel. Your entire staff was fantastic. I would like to recognize Mikala Nolan and Malihini Heath. They were especially helpful and extremely patient. We really enjoyed participating in all the Free Hawaiian activities taught by your staff. We really learned a lot from all the activities taught. This is something you never see even in the higher priced hotels. The landscaping was especially beautiful with all the plumeria trees surrounding the property. We all felt like we were considered family by all your staff. The farewell ceremony was especially memorable and touching. I had tears in my eyes when it was time to leave. Everybody made me feel welcome. The food was good as well as the room that I stayed in overlooking the ocean. I just wish the surf had not have been as strong last week.
We were able to utilize the pool. I cannot wait to make a return trip to the Kaanapali beach hotel in Maui. Keep up the good work. You have plenty to be proud of. I plan on telling all my friends and relatives about my wonderful stay. Mahalo.

Whenever we travel, we always look for the out-of-the way hotels instead of staying at a big-name hotel. Every city that we visit, we love to learn about the area and enjoy the culture. This is exactly what we found at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we truly felt we were at home! The entire staff made our visit so enjoyable & relaxing. Whenever we needed anything, housekeeping was at our room in less than 10 minutes. We loved the layout of the resort because you never felt like you were on top of other people. We enjoyed the cultural activities and the personal services of the entire staff. We looked forward to the nightly turndown service with macadamia nut & coconut cookies. The view from the lanai was incredible! We cannot say enough good things about the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. We will definitely recommend it to all our friends and when we return to Maui, we will return to the Kaanapali Beach Hotel! Mahalo!

My husband and I have just returned from almost three weeks in Maui at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. This was our sixth stay at Maui’s most Hawaiian hotel. It had been three years since our last visit and we were very happy to see that the hotel is still as wonderful as ever. The staff cannot do enough to make your stay perfect. Dale always keeps everyone at the Tiki Bar happy with his excellent service and lively conversation.
We also enjoyed the fabulous Dinner Theatre Magic Show called Kupanaha at the hotel one night. Children to seniors will enjoy this show – there is something for everyone during the performance. We never miss the Sunday brunch in the Tiki Terrace Restaurant. This year for the Father’s Day brunch on Sunday, Willy K. performed making it even more special.
The nightly hula show in the courtyard was very good. Friday nights children from the various dance schools perform. We did miss Rudy Aquino very much. He moved to the Cook Islands after performing for 15 years in the courtyard. We are hopeful the hotel will find someone like Rudy before we return next year so that after the hula show presentation people will once again be able to laugh and dance. Presently the groups playing only supply background music from 6 to 9 PM nightly, and no one was dancing.

Aloha! My 6-year-old son, fiancé and I just spent 5 days at your hotel and were married by Makalapua mid-way through. Everything went off without a hitch. Madalene handled all the planning and all the details from the license appointment through the ceremony and photographs were taken care of perfectly. The wedding was even nicer than I had imagined. We were surprised and very warmed by the vows Makalapua had us share with my son as well to create a happy and loving home for him. It meant so much to have my son included in such a way. Makalapua is the perfect representative for such an occasion and my son decided she was his favorite person at the hotel. My fiancé, Noel, got a kick out of how all the employees at the hotel seem to have many roles and all were very informative about the Hawaiian culture. My son was the only child on the garden walk when we went with Mikala and he loved it. He considers himself a little expert in Hawaiian plants, flowers and their uses in Hawaiian culture and medicine thanks to Mikala who has such a great soul and was a wonderful influence.
Service was fabulous and welcoming every step of the way. There were NO bad experiences to report. I once called Housekeeping for fresh towels and was surprised to see them at my door not 3 minutes later with the towels. Since when does that happen at a hotel?? We are already talking about when we can return to Maui and the KBH. We will recommend it to our friends as well. And if there are any brides out there looking for the perfect spot to get married, this is the place!!
– Jennifer
In 1994 my wife and I were married in Maui less than one mile from the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. That was our first trip to Maui but since then we have been back to the Hawaiian Islands four more times. We always visit two islands each trip but we always include Maui as one because it is our favorite. May 18th we went back and spent six days on Oahu and seven on Maui. As usual while planning our trip we checked the reviews of hotels and did a lot of research. We have stayed in the Kaanapali area on each of our visits but never at the same hotel. After much research this time we decided to try the Kaanapali Beach Hotel and now we never again need to spend the time reading reviews. Most of the other hotels we stayed at were much larger and had more "glitz", but none (in our opinion) could hold a candle to this one. We had a partial ocean view, which was exceptional. Our room was clean and very nice and included a small refrigerator, which more than suited our needs. The beach was excellent although most of our stay we had red beach flags and did not spend a lot of time in the ocean. The pool (which we did use a lot) was small but was not crowded and was very nice. Our stay included breakfast each morning, which was very good and was varied. I guess you could say the hotel had all of the things you would expect.
What sets this hotel apart is the atmosphere. All of the hotel staff, maids, grounds keepers, bartenders, front desk workers, valets, gift shop workers, everyone, were the greatest people you could ask for. There is no way our stay could have been any better and the staff of this hotel, along with the small (REAL) Hawaiian atmosphere of the grounds is what made the difference. We will be going back almost every year and we have found our hotel. There is no longer any reason to spend hours going over reviews. I just hope nothing changes.
There was remodeling going on in two of the wings while we were there. As a matter of a fact we were on the sixth floor and the entire floor below us was being remodeled in our wing but we were never bothered by noise and never had any problem getting one of the two elevators.
